Check from a safe distance
Look for trees on roofs, blocked roads, hanging branches, exposed roots or trunks leaning toward people and property. Never stand beneath a suspended branch or use a ladder against a damaged tree.
Document safely
Once the area is safe, take wide photographs and closer images of the break, roots and damage. Insurance coverage depends on the policy and the insurer’s decision.
After the immediate hazard
Ask any provider for the written scope, waste handling and follow-up work. Keep clear until the site has been assessed and made safe.
